The Embedded Music on Hold feature uses a customer-provided audio file to play to callers on hold. The required format is WAV, A-law or m-law (G.711) 8kHz, 8-bit, mono.
The three languages available for users to display on their phones are determined by the Telecom Region that you selected earlier. You can override this selection and choose a different set of languages.
To configure embedded music on hold:
Select Configure Embedded Music on Hold.
Click Select a file for the system Embedded Music on Hold.
NOTE: If you want to provision Music on Hold via USB, select the USB option. This option is only applicable for the EX platform.
Click Load file...
Navigate to a music file. The required format is WAV, A-law or m-law (G.711) 8kHz, 8-bit, mono.
Select the file.
Click Next.
To select the languages that users can display on their phones:
Select Configure MiVoice Business Set Languages.
Select the default language and two auxiliary (alternate) languages.
Click Next.
NOTE: Language configuration is new in MiCW Release 5.0 and is defaulted based on the Country and a new variable, Telecom Region. Earlier releases based language on the Country/Region only. Because of the new variable, the language defaults may not correspond correctly when using a configuration file from an older release of MiCW. The wizard recognizes this and selects the Configure MiVoice Business Set Languages check box to prompt you to confirm or modify the defaults as required.
